When and where are Math Counts meetings?

This year (2012-2013) CPA's Math Counts club meets every Thursday afternoon from 3:15 - 4:10 in room 201.

What is the difference between the Math Counts Club and the Math Counts Competition?

The club is just a place to meet to discuss interesting and unusual math problems. We might participate in the challenges given to us by the Math Counts organization or engage in games or fun activities that are math-centered.

The competition is an annual event in which we have several components. Students take part in the school-competition in January. In February, there is a local chapter competition. Students who place high enough at the chapter competition qualify for the State competition. Students who place high enough in the state competition go on to compete nationally.

The Math Counts organization provides many opportunities for students to engage in mathematics competitions as well as interesting and fun math projects.
